I want to start off by saying this post is late and should've been post last week, but here it goes. April feels similar to March in the way that it's gone by fast.
I have started reading more like I wanted to, that's an accomplishment! I've been reading fiction again and starting to get into my spiritual books. I'm still working on making the time for self-care like journaling and starting my self-development journey. I've been reading up on spirituality and personal development on websites including Life by Deanna, Lauraconteuse, Holistic Grotto, Joy Among Chaos, and Navigating This Space. Check the links down below! April went by fast, and I didn't get much farther on my personal goals like I wanted to because I was thinking about applying for jobs after school is out and the process of publishing my book. Instead of beating myself up for not accomplishing my goals, I've come up with a new mindset: New Month, New Goals. For May I would like to work on art projects as a self-care activity and working on my other goals as well. Accomplishing goals isn't easy for everyone and always a work in progress. Accomplishment doesn't come easy and could take a lifetime depending on how big your goal is. Comment down below how April was for you, your goals for May, and your thoughts on personal-development! What art projects are you planning for May? You're so right about goals, some can take a long time to acheive but sometimes they also happen sooner than we have planned! Always set big goals!

Both painting and colouring are amazing ways to be creative but can also be really therapeautic! Looking forward to more updates! 4/19/2023 04:43:06 pm
Would love to hear about the books you have been reading! I typically try to get to at least 10 audiobooks a month :)

I'm currently reading Percy Jackson's Greek Gods by Rick Riordan; I love reading fantasy! I also started to read a book about chakras. 10 audiobooks a month is a great goal! Thank you for the feedback and hope to hear from you again!

Self-care through art is right up my alley! I have also found art as a good way to start letting go of my perfectionism; instead embracing the imperfection within myself and my art. Great post!

Art has a strange way of doing that! I like that art can be anything you want it to be, but I also struggle with perfectionism and forget to embrace imperfection. Thank you for the feedback!

Thank you for the feedback! It really does feel like 2023 is flying by. It seems to be easier getting things done that need to be done rather than doing things for yourself. Good luck on reading more in May! Hope to hear from you again!
