Adulting - becoming independent 💪🏻 - moving out - driving/public transportation 🚗🚍 - college life - college alternative - job applications/interviews - phone calls 📞 - making appointments - Keeping track of prescriptions - Handling Insurance It may seem like a lot at first, but over time it feels like a normal part of everyday life. This is a lifelong thing and won't go away, but you can learn how to overcome these obstacles. If new ones pop-up, you can deal with those ones too. This thing that makes you different doesn't define you or what your future holds. You're going through the same home, 🏡work, school or alternative,🏫 and social stages, you just need more tools along the way. Be sure to lean on your support system during this time, and if you need it, find a therapist. Sometimes you just need an outside perspective. There's a chance you're going to question who you are and what your future looks like, this is normal. You're just trying to figure out what's going on and it's a process. If you feel mad, let yourself be mad;😡 if you feel sad, let it out; 😭 if you feel confused, do what you can to find answers; 😵if you need to be alone; give yourself permission to be by yourself, if you need someone to talk to; lean on those who love and support you or a therapist. There's no shame in needing help or wanting to be alone. It's your journey and you need to do what works for you. Just remember not to do anything that hurts yourself or others. On the bright side, through all these emotions, there's a chance you'll want to do everything in your power to help others going through the same journey as you and change the world! Even if it's hard for you, you wouldn't want anyone to struggle the same way you did, and you'd want to do something about it.
